Medical Marijuana - Different Strains for Different Folk

Marijuana contains varying quantities of more than 400 compounds of therapeutic interest.  The effects of different strains of Medical Marijuana is primarily due to bioactive compounds called Cannabinoids, which include THC, CBD and essential oils.

Some Cannabis varieties are known to be uplifting, while others produce a calming and sedating effect.  On the surface, it would seem that fatigued individuals should not use a sedating strain.  However, this is not always true.  Calming strains may help in treating eating and sleeping disorders, which leads to improved energy, over the long haul.  Uplifting varieties are indicated when a person has to perform, now.

Medical Marijuana and Mitochondria

Mitochondrial diseases can be inherited or acquired, which contribute to many disorders neurological and neuromuscular disorders, including fatigue.

Dysfunctional Mitochondria, the cell's powerhouse, fail to properly convert food molecules into the ATP, the primary fuel that makes the cells, and the body, GO.

Cannabis has been found to improve mitochondrial function in rodent models    Cannabis has also been shown to provide relief from seizures and pain, which greatly assists in fatigue reduction. Therapeutic natural Cannabinoids indicated for mitochondrial disease patients include CBD, THC and THCa.

Marijuana Cannabinoids also hold the capacity to literally halt brain inflammation responsible for causing cognitive decline, neural failure, and brain degeneration, all of which contribute to fatigue.
