BOOZE or POT - AMY WINEHOUSE & CYNDI LAUPER - DEAD or ALIVE
Photo - TERRIBLE TWINS - CYNDI & AMY
These are the stories of triumph and tragedy of two Divas. Hopefully the moral of the story shines through and the lesson is learned; Medical Cannabis should never be compared with alcohol and hard drugs in harmful effects. In fact, Medical Cannabis is used today to curb alcoholism and drug addiction.
THE DEADLY TRIPS OF CYNDI LAUPER & AMY WINEHOUSE
There once was a time when Cyndi Lauper and Amy Winhouse were terrible twins sitting in the same boat. Both were free spirits that found themselves on top of the music world, yet both were possessed by demons, spirits of the kind that kill. Her high-school teacher commented, you're either going to become a famous artist or end up dead. Both events very nearly happened. Only a few years after her breakthrough Miss Lauper found herself on the verge of suicide, sneaking into the woman's to guzzle Vodka straight out of the bottle. Cyndi said the only thing that kept her from self-murder was thinking about the cruel headlines that would probably read, "Girls just wanna have fun? Not that girl."
"I absolutely refuse to act my age, what am I, a car?" - C. Lauper
With Amy Winehouse, she became known for bringing a rebellious spirit back to pop music, hecking asshole Bono of U2 on awards day saying quote; "Shut up, I don't give a fuck. It turns out that Amy W. smoked week for a while with her soul mated, and while weed proved to be somewhat inspirational, she felt it made her feel defensive. Sadly, we know now that this is a classic symptom of THC intolerance common to mega potent street weed. Little did she know there are strains that contain CBD and terpenes that are relaxing and make people lovey dovey, which is the very thing this mega talented DIVA craved. She described boozes in the following manner;
"Drinking mentality is very 'Woe is me, oh, I love you, I'm gonna lie in the road for you, I don't even care if you never even look my way, I'm always gonna love you.'"
Amy had love oozing out of her pores. It is a noble feeling, love, but the problem is of course, that when your body needs booze to get that loving high for your mate or your music, then we have a problem, because too much booze always means tragedy. Pouring gas on the fire, just throw in some pills, say opiates, then add in a little trauma for good measure. Then our favorite singer is no longer our favorite singer (see Amy's last performance Vid below), and before we knew it, she had traveled to another dimension - at age 28.
AMY - Rehab lyrics
They tried to make me go to rehab but I said, 'No, no, no.'
I'm gonna, I'm gonna lose my baby
So I always keep a bottle near.'
He said, "I just think you're depressed."
This me "Yeah, baby, and the rest."
Cyndi was somehow able to pull herself together, ultimately drawing strength from within. While never nun, Lauper never went down Amy's path of overdose, but was known for consuming her fair share of Weed.
"Understand where it is you want to go. Then picture yourself there. If you can picture yourself there, then you can be there. Bottom line." - CL
Toss the rule book in the trash will you? Cyndi is now an amazing 63 and is still putting out amazing, energetic performances. See a video link to a 2016 performance, where the other musicians appear to be in awe of this completely REAL person. When asked, how much longer will she be playing music, an obvious type of question we all would ask, but suddenly the query seems stupid. This person is not normal, she's one of a kind. After all, she won a Grammy in 2014 at age 61 moving to a completely different jandra - she had her first baby at age 44.
“Can I ask ya a question? I feel that the way ya say that, you wanna check under the hood, kick the tires, see how much mileage is left? I think there’s a lot ageism. You can do whatever you want as long as you stay healthy.” Cindy L.
Cyndi Lauper Lyrics - Girls just Wanna have Fun
My mother says when you gonna live your life right
Oh mother dear we're not the fortunate ones
And girls they want to have fun
Oh girls just want to have fun
A little advice to the Amys out there.
Medical marijuana is sometimes used as an exit therapy. Doctor's across the world are recommending marijuana to patients as part of drug rehabilitation programs. While marijuana has one of the lowest index rates for addiction, rehab should be guided by a qualified healthcare professional. Strains balanced in THC and CBD with an assortment of terpenes is generally more therapeutic compared to mega high THC weed that puts your dick in the dirt. And this street weed is the kind that can make some paranoid or defensive, like poor Amy. To get the best medicinal strains, patients, need a licensed physician's recommendation to treat their conditions and symptoms.
